Albert Ray Davis' Obituary
Albert Ray Davis was born on June 30, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri to the union of Ananias Davis, Jr. and Marqurite Cline. He was born at General Hospital #2, which is now Truman Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter.
Albert received his education in the Kansas City, Missouri School District. He attended B. T. Washington Elementary, Lincoln Junior High School and Lincoln Senior High School. After high school, he worked for various companies, starting with U. S. Bank of Independence, then, Pepsi Cola Company. Finally, he went to trade school for dry cleaning. After graduating from trade school, he worked for and became a supervisor for a dry cleaning company.
He met and married Raycin King. There were two children born to this union. After this married dissolved. Albert moved to Los Angles, California. In California, he would meet and marry Beverly. One daughter was born to this union. This marriage dissolved.
Albert moved back to Kansas City, Missouri. He met Vanessa Mayfield, the love of his life. Albert and Vanessa remained loving partners until his passing.
Albert was also affectionately nicknamed as "Bubba", or "Big Al", or "Unc".
Albert was a big fan of sports, music.
Albert was a stylish dresser.
Albert loved his family and his friends.
Albert leaves to cherish his memory: his loving partner of 25 years Vanessa Mayfield; one son Albert R. Davis, Jr. and one daughter Iash Davis; three sisters Acwaneeta Denise Davis, Beverly Davis-Roberts, and Willie Mae McGee; one brother Garry Davis; two uncles Deacon Eddie Davis and Reverend Charles Davis; two aunts Ethel Davis and Peggy Flint; one niece; five nephews, a host of cousins and friends.
