Alphonso Walker Jr., 72, passed away at his home March 21, 2023. He was born in Rosedale, Kansas to the union of Alphonso Walker Sr. and Peggy Robinson. Alphonso graduated from Rosedale High School in 1968 and enlisted in the United States Naval Academy. During his time, he served in Vietnam until 1972.

He was preceded in death by Janet Wallace.

Alphonso met Gayle Boldridge, who had a son, Phillip Boldridge. They created a union and had a daughter Michelle Walker and son Brian Walker.

He worked many years for Amoco at the Amoco Refinery in Sugar Creek, Missouri. He then worked for KU Medical Center for 27 years where he retired in 2012.

He is survived by sisters, Linda Hoilet, Peggy Walker, Judy Washington, and Betsy Walker; step-son, Phillip Boldridge; daughter, Michelle Walker; son, Brian Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandchildren.

Memorial Service for Mr. Walker will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 3, 2023 at E. S. Eley and Sons Funeral Chapel, Inc.  Private disposition.
