Alton Wigfall was born in Hollandale, Mississippi on May 6, 1949, to the late Clint Wigfall, Sr. and Ilene (Jamison) Wigfall. He was the seventh of nine children. Alton departed this life on September 21, 2024, to unite with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Alton received his formal education from Coleman High School in the Mississippi Public School system and worked at Kroger's Grocery Store in the meat department.

While in Mississippi, Alton met Emma Mae Norman. After some time, they left Greenville, Mississippi, and relocated to Chicago, Illinois, for better opportunities. During their courtship, they gave birth to 4 beautiful daughters, Rosie Norman (Toosie), Altonia Norman (Nana), Cynthia Norman (Pookie), and Yvonne Norman (Pig). His wife, Emma Mae preceded him in death.

As time went on, Alton relocated to Kansas City, Missouri, and was self-employed working minor construction, painting, and carpentry jobs.
Alton married Mary Ann Mayhue on January 21, 1988, where he gained 3 beautiful bonus daughters, Dovette Mayhue, Robin Mayhue, and Patsha Mayhue. MaryAnn preceded him in death.

Alton also fathered his only son, Marquis West (Bam).

Alton was known as a very good cook and would make sure you had a plate to eat, you never left his presence hungry.

Alton reunited with Tonya Saunders and gained two more bonus kids.

Alton was preceded in death by his parents, Clint Wigfall, Sr. and Ilene (Jamison) Wigfall; along with his brothers, Thomas White Sr., Clint Wigfall Jr.; sisters, Thelma Jackson, Mary Etta Coats, and Brenda Reed; and two grandchildren.

His memory is cherished and carried on by Tonya Sanders, of the home in Grandview, MO; his children, Rosie Norman (Toosie) of Bellwood, IL;  Altonia Norman (Nana) of Chicago, IL; Cynthia Norman (Pookie) of Chicago, IL; Yvonne Norman (Pig) of Des Plaines, IL; Dovette (Willis) of Kansas City, MO; Robin Brown (Mack) of Raytown, MO; Patsha Mayhue of Lee's Summit, MO; Marquis West (Bam) of North Kansas City, MO; two brothers, Willie Wigfall (Voncella) of Kansas City, MO and Frank White, Sr. (Niniece) of Matteson, IL; one sister, Barbara Scott of Park Forest, IL; 21 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
