Amos Angelo McBeth was born August 29, 1955, in Aberdeen, Mississippi to his parents, Tom and Virginia McBeth. He was the fifth eldest of eight children. His parents and eldest sister, Barbara Jean Johnson; and his brother, Charles McBeth preceded him in death.

Amos McBeth made his transition on Saturday, January 17, 2026.

Amos moved with his family from Aberdeen, Mississippi to Kansas City, Missouri, in 1959. As a young man he attended Central High School for a few years and later moved to Los Angeles, California, to live with his sister. While in Los Angeles, he attended Crenshaw High School, where he graduated in 1975. Afterward, Amos attended Los Angeles Trade Technical School for one year.

In 1978, Amos moved back to Kansas City to take on the responsibility of a loving caregiver for his mother, Virginia McBeth until her passing in May 2006. In 2008, Amos began his career working for the IRS Department, which he enjoyed. Amos enjoyed working and after 17 years, he retired in April 2025.

In August 2025, Amos McBeth celebrated his 70th birthday with friends and family members. Amos enjoyed living life his way. His best buddies and friends were Billy McNealy, Rick Jackson, Gloria McBeth, Serena McBeth, (Batman) and a host of others. Amos loved his friends and his family.

Amos struggled with his health occasionally and received the help and support he needed from his sister, Gregory Ann Pace and his brother, Robert McBeth. They provided Amos with positive words of encouragement for doctor appointments and surgeries. Amos was a believer and he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ October 2025. Amos enjoyed old-school music, lots of older TV shows, laughter and fun Bar-B-Q parties with family members and friends.

Amos leaves behind to celebrate his life and memories his sisters, Gregory Pace, Tom Ella McBeth, Riverdale, Georgia, Cynthia McBeth, and Sonia McBeth; brother, Robert McBeth; nieces and nephews, Lisa Colbert, Treana Colbert, GeAnn Pace, Eric B. McBeth, Alaina Clark, Channing McBeth, Erica McBeth, Ayana McBeth, Tonee Stuckey, Cherrie McBeth; and many friends and acquaintances.
