Anna Lee Williams was born August 25, 1920, to James Kidd and Carrie Harris in Shreveport, Louisiana.  While she was very young, her family moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she attended grade school and high school.   She later met and married Howard Williams in 1946.

Anna lovingly gave birth to six beautiful children…Bernard, Brenda, Michael, Terry, Carl "Butch" and Jessie "Skipper"

She was very well loved by everyone she met. Known as Anna to all her friends and Aunt Anna to all the neighborhood kids.

Anna spent her life taking care of others and when she felt her work was done she began to explore what Kansas City had to offer.  She then met and became life-long friends with Connie.  She and Connie did everything together, from Connie's real estate adventures to eating at the finest restaurants.  Connie also introduced Anna to her passion for playing BINGO where she was known as Little Mama.

Playing BINGO was more than just a pastime for Anna, it was more of a sport.  She was once featured on the news for her aggressive BINGO playing style of having up to 20 cards at a time.  She continued to play BINGO until her last days.

Anna Lee Williams departed this life on Thursday, July 11, 2019. Her parents, brother and four of her children preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her sons, Bernard Williams and Carl Williams; three special daughters-in-law, Sandra, Carla and Rosie; neighbors, Matthew and Louise; five grandchildren; great grandchildren; cousins and her BINGO family.

Services for Mrs. Williams will be held 12:00 P . M. Friday, July 19, 2019, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel.  Burial Forest Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until service time Friday at the chapel.
