Antoan Juroy Taylor was born March 10, 1978, in Kansas City, MO to Joyce and Leslie Barton.  He was preceded in death by his, Mom, Joyce Taylor, grandmother, Maxine Taylor, grandfather, Harvey Barton, grandmother, Beatrice Barton, a special aunt, Lavon Taylor and a special cousin, Harvey Barton, III.  He was a student of the Kansas City Missouri Public School District and Center School District.

From a young age, Antoan was a very smart and inquisitive individual.  Those traits, along with an amazing personality carried over into adulthood, allowing him to have a variety of jobs and career choices in Kansas City and surrounding areas.

Antoan was charismatic, fun, loving and loyal.  He loved music and was a talented rapper.  He was a jokester and always knew how to make you laugh and put a smile on your face, he was also extremely charming and he was comfortable in any setting because he never felt like a stranger.  He loved to travel throughout the country.  He was a great husband protector, comforter and friend.  Above all things, Antoan was a fighter! He fought his illness with his faith, determination and laughter, surrounded by host of friends and family.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Mary Taylor, two sons of love, Aaron Wedlow and Devin Powell, his father, Leslie Barton, Sr. (Stephana); four brothers, Kevin Newton, Leslie Barton, Jr. (Beverly), Paul McKissick all of KCMO, Justin Taylor of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Chere Walker (Jonothan) of KCMO and Asia Taylor of Dallas, TX.  Antoan was also blessed with a very large host of loving family and a countless number of friends who will miss him deeply.

Memorial Services for Mr. Taylor were held Monday, January 14, 2019, at Victory Outreach Church with Pastor Dan Tynch officiating.
