Ashley Maria Martinez , 32, was born April 10, 1990, in Kansas City, Missouri to Dana Gibson and Jessie Martinez, Sr.  She was the second of six children.  She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Robert Gibson.

Ashley received her formal education in the Grandview School District, graduating from Grandview Alternative High School in 2008.  Ashley accepted Jesus Christ into her life when she became a member of Friendship Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor James A. Terrance, Jr.  Ashley was employed as a welder at the Ford Kansas City Assembly Plant.  Ashley loved having a good time.

Some of her favorite hobbies were cooking, dancing, singing and being the life of the party.

Ashley departed this life on Friday, October 7, 2022.  She will be greatly missed by all those who know her.

Ashley leaves to cherish her memory: four children Ro'Mello Fhur, A'Briyelle Fhur, Lyr'Rique East and LeMar East, Jr.; parents Dana Gibson-West (Cedric) and Jessie Martinez, Sr.; four brothers Jessie Martinez, Jr., Ryan Martinez, Domonique Martinez, and Elijah Martinez; one sister Brianna Johnson; grandparents Thelma L. Harris and Herminia Ortiz (Ruben); aunts Tracie Gibson, Cecilia Martinez and Sandra Martinez; uncles Lamar Gibson (Salina), Anthony Harris, Albert Martinez, Robert Martinez (Lena), Alejandro Martinez (Sandra); and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
