Augustine Thomas-Jackson was born to Walter and Fayrena Robinson on August 4, 1931, in Blackwell, Arkansas.  She was the oldest of four daughters.  She was preceded in death by both parents, two daughters, Felecia Brown and Alicestine Ray; two sisters, Helen Turner and Sylestine Barlow.

She was educated in the Public School Systems of Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri.  Augustine was a beautician for many years, working at several beauty salons throughout the city.

Augustine served as a faithful member of the Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church for many years.  She served in Senior Mission, Superintendent of Sunday school and on the Courtesy Committee.  She later moved her membership to the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, KS under the leadership of Rev. C. L. Bachus.  She served there until her health began to fail.  Augustine transitioned home on Saturday, January 16, 2021. She will be greatly missed by her grandsons, Damon and Steffon.

She leaves to mourn her passing: 2 grandsons, Damon and Steffon; one sister, Lettie Mae Marshall; niece and caregiver, Janice Norwood; three nephews, James, Lonnell and Ricky; five great-grandchildren, Damon Jr., Alex, Felecia and Harley, Kabrynn; her longtime friend, Betty Brown; members of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services for Mrs. Thomas-Jackson will be held Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel North.  Burial Friday Leavenworth National Cemetery.  Friends may call 9:00 a.m. until service time at the chapel.
