Barbara Jeanette Burton was born December 3,1947 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Charles Sanders and Tommie Mae Ruffin. She was one of seven children born to this union. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Tommy Roberson and John Page, one sister, Brenda Sanders, and one daughter-in-law Lisa Sanders.

Barbara received her early education in the Little Rock School District.  She attended West Jr. High School and Douglas Elementary. After graduating from high school, she continued her education with IBM as a Computer Technician.

Barbara was a person who was not afraid to work. She worked as a Coffee line Inspector at Folgers Coffee Company and Proctor & Gamble for 13 years. Then, after she acquired her food server certificate, she worked as a cook at Paseo Academy.

Barbara showed her hand skills by using sheet rock, wallpaper, tile floors .

Barbara enjoyed cooking and eating. Sweet Potato pie was one of her favorite dishes to prepare.

Barbara loved the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. She was a member of Whole Ministries, where she attended online for 3 years.

She leaves to cherish her memory: three sons, Eric (Yolanda) Sanders, Michael (Talesha) Sanders, and William Sanders all of Kansas City, Missouri; three sisters, Betty Page (Florida), Beulah Bolden (Kansas City, Mo), Beatrice Sanders (Orin, Michigan); Six grandchildren Eric (Ashley) Sanders, II, Erica (Donald) Glenn, Michael Sanders, Jr., Jordan Sanders, Matthew Sanders, Jessica (Montez) Huggins; and a host of Great Grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
