Barbara Ann Rolfe was born October 24, 1951, in Foreman, Arkansas, to the late Lott Rolfe, Jr. and Ella Mae Rolfe, who preceded her in death. At an early age, Barbara joined the Friendship Baptist Church in Foreman, Arkansas, under the pastoral leadership of Reverend J.S. Warren.

She attended and graduated from elementary and high school in Foreman, Arkansas. She received her bachelor's degree from Agricultural Mechanical and Normal College (University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff) in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and her master's degree from the University of Central Missouri.

Barbara was initiated as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, on April 27, 1996, in the Kansas City, MO, Alumnae Chapter.

Barbara started her career in 1977 at Jackson County Juvenile Court in Kansas City, MO, and retired in 2019 as the Program Manager after 42 years of service.

Barbara was an active member of Fellowship Baptist Church, singing in the choir until her health failed.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Queen Esther Rolfe, Mattie Rolfe Watson, and Waunda Rolfe Comeaux; and one brother, Saul Rolfe.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memory: one daughter, Jessika Rolfe; and one beautiful granddaughter, Averi Rolfe, of Kansas City, MO;  five sisters, Princella Rolfe Gardner (Milton) of Pine Bluff, AR; Mary Rolfe French of Indianapolis, IN; Nancy Rolfe of Wesley Chapel, FL; Margaret Rolfe Smith, Olathe, KS and Debrah Rolfe Brown (James) of Wesley Chapel, FL; one brother, Lott Rolfe, III (Ella) of Little Rock, AR; one brother-in-law, Dwight Comeaux of Kansas City, MO; and one aunt, Eva L. Richarson of Ashdown, AR; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will remember her with love.
