Betty Lorraine Stewart was born June 6, 1950, in Bonita, Louisiana to Jetty Mae Stewart and Climmie Stewart.  She was the second oldest child of six.  She was preceded in death by both her mom and dad, Jettie Mae Stewart and Climmie Stewart and many other family members.

Betty was the caretaker of the family, whenever anything went wrong, Betty was called.  She tried to help in any way she could.  She was all our family "go to girl" and we are all going to miss her dearly.

Betty was a member of Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church for years.  She also attended Sheffield Family Center.

She was employed as a factory worker for a number of years until she went back to school on line and in the class room and became a substitute  teacher.  She worked at Center High School and did whatever she could to help other.

Betty departed this earthly life on Friday, July 1, 2022, at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, Missouri.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory: a great niece that she raised like a daughter, Kammika Chapel; two brothers and a sister, John L. Stewart, Climmie Stewart, Jr. and Faye L. Stewart and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services for Ms. Stewart will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at E. S. Eley and Sons Funeral Chapel, Inc.  Private disposition.  Friends may call 10:00AM until service time at the chapel.
