Beverly Ann Robinson was born on April 30, 1936 in Kansas City, MO, to Laurence William Culliver and Beatrice Patton. Both parents preceded her in death. She graduated from Lincoln High School (now known as Lincoln College Preparatory Academy) and continued her education at both Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO and Pioneer Community College in Kansas City, MO.

She united with Friendship Baptist Church in February of 1944 under the leadership of Reverend I.H. Henderson, Jr. Shortly after, on April 23, 1944, she gave her life to Christ at the tender age of 8. She impacted and influenced countless lives through her ministry work during her 76 years as a faithful member of the church. Her list of ministry work includes Church Youth Director, Banquet Coordinator, 78th Church Anniversary Chairperson, Christian Education Director, and so much more.

She married the love of her life, Robert L. Robinson, on June 10 ^th , 1956. He preceded her in death in 1988. To this union four children were born, Shivon (preceded her in death), twins Kent & Keith, and Carmen. She never remarried and when asked "why?", she said there was nobody like her husband, who she affectionately called "Bobby". After his passing, she continued family traditions such as big holiday gatherings and the annual Robinson-Jones volleyball game, creating a deep bond between the Robinson and Jones families that went beyond being next door neighbors.

She retired from the Kansas City Missouri School District after a long career that included Infant Care Manager for the Teenage Parent Center and Department Coordinator at the Board of Education. She was the first Black person (not woman, PERSON!) to be elected President, in the history of the Kansas City Council of Parent-Teacher Associations (PTA), a city-wide organization.

In her later years, she could be found doing a crossword puzzle, putting together a 1,000-piece puzzle or playing games on her iPad. She loved deeply and always enjoyed spending time around her family, making sure she attended all graduations, weddings, and other celebratory events. She was the true matriarch of the Robinson family, often giving advice to anyone who asked (and sometimes even when you didn't ask!). She had the ability to see things in others that they were unable to see for themselves, she was a stickler about education and decorum, and could make you laugh until you cried.

God called her home, peacefully at home with her family, on Thursday, October 8 ^th . She leaves to cherish her memory: siblings; Alissa D. Culliver Barnes (Pierre), Lance F. Culliver, and Carramon C. Culliver, and Joann Copeland (sister-in-law); children: Kent L. Robinson (Renetta Ann Tolson), Keith A. Robinson (Geri L.), and Carmen R. Henry (LaVaughn M.); grandchildren: Jason R. Robinson Sr., Candice N. Crowley (Brandon E.), Clarence E. Chaney IV, John G. Henry, Keiva B. Robinson, Cameron E. Henry, Tayler Lena Robinson, Ricki Ann Tolson Robinson, and Bobbi Coleen Robinson; great-grandchildren: Jason R. Robinson, Jr., Brandon M. Crowley, Austyn S. Crowley, Samiyah L. Bryant, Anthony C. Chaney, Tyrell K. Chaney, and Kean A. Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Services for Mrs. Robinson will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 16, 2020, at Friendship Baptist Church.  Burial Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00A.M. until 9:45 A.M. Friday at the church.
