Beverly G. Wright (née Sharks), born on April 13, 1947, in Forrest City, AR, passed away at the age of 77 on August 3, 2024, in Kansas City, MO. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and lived a life full of love and dedication to her family and community.

Beverly was united in marriage to Jesse James Wright, Jr. on April 11, 1970, in St. Louis, MO. She is survived by her loving husband, Jesse; their children, Chandra Wright, Tiffany Wright, and Stacy Wright; grandchildren, Jordan (Amanda) Johnson, Dorian Wright, Camryn Wright, Jamison Wright, Marcus Wright, Quincy Wright, and Presley Martin; and great-granddaughter, Charli Comstock-Johnson. Beverly is also survived by her sister, Erma Sisk; brother, Leroy (Ola) Sharks; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Novella (Joyner) Sharks; and siblings, Lettie Bell, Richard Sharks, Archie Lee Sharks, Huey Sharks, Elijah Sharks, and Dorris Pickens.

Educated in the Wynne Public School System and a graduate of Childress High School, Beverly devoted over 20 years to a career in finance at Missouri Central Credit Union before transitioning into retail until her retirement. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking (and hoarding) her famous family recipes, going to the casino, and passionately supporting her beloved Kansas City Chiefs. She cherished watching her grandchildren grow and actively participated in their sports and activities.

A celebration of life will take place Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church Lee's Summit, located at 2 NE Douglas St., Lee's Summit, MO 64063. E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel, Inc., in Kansas City, MO, is assisting the family during this time.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Beverly's memory to the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society, honoring her spirit of giving and support for community health initiatives. Beverly's warmth, generosity, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
