Billy Ray McKinzy was born November 27, 1959, to L. C. and Lucille McKinzy in Kansas City, MO. He was preceded in death by both parents; a sister and two brothers.

As a young man he worked as a Cook/Chef at the Golden Ox Restaurant, he was also a construction worker for J. E. Dunn Construction Company.

Billy was united in marriage to Casey. During this time their daughter, Lartonya was born.  As his life continued, he joined in a relationship with DeWana Harris and this relationship lasted.

For the last fourteen years of his life Billy owned and operated a cleaning business called Daddy's Cleaning Service LLC.  Billy loved to cook, especially Barbecue and with a smile he would invite everyone to come and taste his Barbecue.

Billy had a strong belief in God and that belief continued throughout his life. Billy departed this life on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at the age of 62 in Kansas City, MO.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter, Lartonya Donato; son-in-law, Michael Donato; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; stepson, Shawn, brothers, Larry Melvin and Harold along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends all of whom he loved.

Memorial Services for Mr. McKinzy were held Thursday, March 3, 2022, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel.
