Ms. Bobbie Jean Coleman, also known as Barbara Jean, was born on May 26, 1951 to Ethel and Samuel Scott.  She was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, MO.

She married Radford Gray in 1967 and to that union there were born three daughters, Sherese, Deborah, and Kacy Gray.  Later came three boys to other unions, Johnnie and Ronnie Coleman, who were twins, and Donnie Johnson.  Sherese, Kacy, Johnnie, Ronnie and her parents all preceded her in death.

Bobbie married Jack Coleman in 1979 and no children were born to that union.

Bobbie attended Longfellow, Lincoln and Manuel Tech High School and spent most of her adult life as a caregiver.

Bobbie was a great cook and would hold holiday meals at her home every year until she became ill.  She loved fashion and was known for being a nice dresser.  She loved getting visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bobbie departed this life on Sunday November 22, 2020 in her home.

She leaves to mourn her passing her only sister Charlene Richardson, two children Deborah Gray (Carl) and Donnie Johnson (Monica), 14 Grandchildren Sterling Gray, Victor Gray, Vincent Gray, Nicklos Gray, Valentino Gray, Elisha Gray, Ladonna Irving, La'Courtney Sersch, Ashley Jones, Stephen Gray, Steffen Gray, Stacy Gray, Donnie Johnson Jr, Ke'shawn Johnson, 12 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Prentiss Nathaniel, Grace Arrington, Athena Travis and India Mays whom all cared for Bobbie in end of life.

Services for Ms. Coleman will be held Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 10:30 am at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel North.  Burial Leavenworth National Cemetery.  Friends may call 9:30 a.m. until service time at the chapel.
