Obituary

Brenda Louise Dunson was born on November 16,1944 to Walter William Dunson and Roberta L Carmons of Kansas City, Missouri. She married Douglas Lacy, October 13, 1962, of Kansas City, Missouri. Their unity granted the blessing of 1 beautiful child, Angela Denise Lacy of Kansas City, Missouri.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Walter W. Dunson, her daughter, Angela D. Lacy, her brothers, William O. Dunson, Walter H. Dunson, Stephen L. Dunson, her sister, Alveria E. White, Gloria J. Dunson, and Carrie L. Dunson, all of Kansas City, Missouri.
She leaves to cherish her memories:  Her mother, Roberta L. Carmons, and brother, Juan J. Dunson, both of Kansas City, Missouri. Along with, a host of nephews, nieces, and extended family and friends.
Brenda graduated from Central High School in Kansas City, Missouri in 1962, where she then went on to further her education to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Missouri. After earning her degree, Brenda began to work for the Kansas City School District as an English Teacher at Paseo Academy High School until her retirement in 2005.
In Brenda's leisure, she found great joy as a ballet teacher and dancer at the Kansas City Ballet School, along with other local area ballet schools.  Brenda also found pleasure in her organization as a E Along that, Brenda loved antique and vintage shopping in her spare time.
Brenda joined and was a proud member of the Order of Eastern Star (O.E.S) in 2001 - Star of Bethlehem, Chapter 59, Kansas City, Kansas, where she served in various capacities.
