Carl Fitzgerald Griffin , 56, was born May 29, 1967 to the union of Billy and Bobbie J. Griffin at Forbes Field Military Hospital in Topeka, Kansas.  He was the third of three siblings, three boys.  His father and brothers preceded him in death

Carl accepted Christ November 18, 1975 and baptized January 18, 1976 at Central Baptist Church in Aurora, Colorado by Pastor Carey J. Miller.

Carl received his early childhood education from Lansing Elementary School in Topeka, Kansas.  He also attended Eisenhower Middle School.  He later attended and graduated from Highland Park High School Class of 1985.  When at Highland, he developed his love for music and played the clarinet in the school band.  After high school, he furthered his education and graduated from Washburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in Media Communications with a Minor in English in 1992.

Carl held positions at several companies, Veteran's Administration Hospital as a File Clerk and Biofeedback Technician.  He also worked at K.T.W.U Channel 11 as a Master Control Operator.  He was a Recreational Leader at Shawnee North Community Center.

Carl , also known as "Griff", had a free spirit and never met a stranger.  He enjoyed meeting new people, hanging out with friends, motorcycles, music and writing poems.

Carl has touched the lives of many and he will be truly missed.

Carl is survived by one son, Joshua Griffin; daughter, Jetta Floro Griffin; granddaughter, Joni Griffin; a special friend, Tracie Floro; he also leaves his memories to Dakota (Cody) Penner and Jaice Holmes, and a host of cousins and friends.
