Carlos Lamonz "Los" Slaughter, Sr. passed on to his final resting place on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, in Topeka, Kansas. Carlos was born on January 23, 1974, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Benita Joyce Slaughter and Berry Edward Roper, Jr.

Carlos is proceeded in death by his parents, brother, Dannon Carter; and wife, Kellie Slaughter.

He received his primary education at schools within the Kansas City, Missouri School District.

On July 1, 1999, Carlos married Tina Samilton and from their union, Carlos, Jr. and Ra'Mel Slaughter were born. Carlos later went on to marry Moanikeala "Kellie" Slaughter in October 2016. The two hosted a beautiful wedding in Hawaii to celebrate their union. The couple had no children together.

Carlos accepted Christ and was an active member of Glory Bound Ministries, C.O.G.I.C, in Spencer, Oklahoma, under the tutelage of Pastor Bernett Sanders.

Not only was Carlos a loving father, protective brother, wonderful nephew, and hilarious "cuddie", he was a friend to so many people. He was a stranger to no-one, and his boisterous personality couldn't be contained. Carlos was the life of every party and center of every gathering, just like his mother, "Nita". He was a jokester who laughed constantly and was always down to clown, whenever, wherever. Carlos was best known for his love of music, often turning a simple gathering into a karaoke night or impromptu concert, with him as the headliner, every time. There wasn't a song he didn't know, whether he was singing the true lyrics or not. Carlos' style was legendary all on its own and can't go without being noted. He had style and flair, and you couldn't tell him otherwise. From head to toe, Carlos was going to put on his flyest fits and represent his favorite teams and colors, every chance he could. His Jordan collection was UNMATCHED. In his spare time, Carlos enjoyed playing spades, dominoes, and barbecuing. He dominated most spade games, especially with his best partner, his sister, Shirita. He once owned and operated a food truck, specializing in his delicious turkey legs.

Carlos is survived by his loving children, Carlos Slaughter, Jr., Kaali Metcalf, and Ra'Mel Slaughter; siblings, Dennis Martin, Shirita Roper, and Keyetta Roper; maternal grandmother, Rachel Slaughter; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends from around the globe.
