Catherine Elizabeth Blake was born May 11, 1970, to Diane Blake Ricks and Ronald Rattler.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Earl Ricks, Jr., her grandparents and great-grandparents.

She was raised by her great-grandparents in Alexandria, Louisiana.  During this time she was baptized in the Methodist Faith and attended Silver City Elementary school.

In 1984, Catherine relocated to Pontiac, Michigan where she lived with her aunt, Dorothy "Dinah" and uncle, Buck Boyer.

Catherine later relocated to Kansas City, Missouri where she completed her high school education in Job Core. At which time she also mastered carpentry.

She leaves to cherish he memory: two sons, Joshua Blake and Brandon Blake; Five brothers, Christopher Ricks, Jason Ricks, Ronzell Tatum Sr., Omar Q. West and Ra'Lon Simpsons; two sisters, Rochelle West and Nicole West and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services for Ms. Blake will be held 4:00 P.M. Saturday, October 12, 2019, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel.  Private Disposition.  Friends may call from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Saturday at the chapel.
