Cecelia Shellue's Obituary
Cecelia passed away at Truman Medical Center Kansas City, Missouri on Sunday at 12:28 A.M., April 15, 2018, after a short battle of weak back, viral infection (microorganisms) that also affected the 5 months unborn child.
According to her obituary, she was born in Ziah Town Konobo Statutory District, Grand Gedeh County, Republic of Liberia May 1, 1975. In 1990, Cecelia moved to Tai Region, La Cote D'Ivoire during the Liberian civil war.
Cecelia came to the United States of America since 2004, as a Liberian refugee and lived in St. Louis, Missouri for 9 years. After she moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 2013, with her husband and 6 living children. In addition to her children, she is survived by 4 daughters and 2 sons with 3 grandchildren: Wallace, Linda, Veronica, Lucky-girl, Miatta, and Abraham; grandchildren: Jeremiah, Olivia and Chukwudi.
Cecelia mother Ms. Esther Y. Barbleh and father Mr. Moore Shellue had five (5) children, but out of them two (Cecelia and Nyonbeor) were unable to survive the battle of death. Cecelia is survived by Melvin, Collins and Victoria.
Her daughter Linda Barway always described her mother as a person who acted as a touchstone for others and care giver in the Grand Gedeh community also Liberian community as well.
According to friends/relatives "She provided all those around her with genuinely positive support, and demonstrated how to handle adversity with grace". Mrs. Cecelia Shellue Tradey enjoyed gathering and cooking. She surrounded herself with many people. Miatta always told her mother that her homemade foods and baking are delectable.
Services for Mrs. Tardey were held Saturday, May 12, 2018, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Brooks Collins, Christ Centered Church - Seattle, Washington officiating. Burial Blue Ridge Lawn Memorial Gardens.
