Ceola B. Farley Funches was born February 28, 1945 to Clarence, Sr. and Rema Oliver Farley in Kansas City, Missouri.

Ms. Ceola departed this life July 15, 2022 at Kansas University Medical Center with her children by her side.

Ceola was born into a big family of nine brothers and three sisters.  Eight brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.  She has one living brother Ray Lee Farley.

Ceola had seven children of her own.  Anthony Funches (who preceded her in death), Pamela (Funches) Dupriest, Tracy Funches, Lisa Funches, Phyllis Funches, Brandy Clark (who preceded her in death) and Randy Clark.  Three grandsons preceded her in death.

Ceola received her education in the Kansas City, Kansas School District.  She received her Associates Degree from Donnelly College.

Ceola worked for Hallmark Cards, Sunshine Biscuits and the Kansas City, Kansas School District until her retirement in 2012.

Ceola loved life, she loved her family, she loved her friends and would do whatever she could to help.  She loved to cook, she loved nice things and loved shopping at Nebraska Furniture Mart.  She loved to clap and talk in people's faces.  She was a strong independent woman and it showed in the way she lived her life.  She loved to eat good food.  She was the type of person to speak what was on her mind.  She made her peace with God.  She lived a good life and fought a good fight.  She will be truly missed everyday.

She leaves behind four daughters, Pamela (Funches) Dupriest, Tracy Funches, Lisa Funches, Phyllis Funches; one son, Randy Clark; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one brother, Ray Lee Farley; best friend, Aileen; and a host of other relatives, family, and friends.

Services for Ms. Funches will be held 11:30 A.M. Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Mount Calvary Church of God in Christ.  Burial Highland Park Cemetery.  Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the church.
