Charlene was born July 8, 1946, in Holden, MO to Charles Fisher and Gladys Taylor. She was raised by her maternal grandparents, Zack and Rachel Taylor. Charlene was the third child joining older sisters, Gladys Collins and Joyce Pearson. Years later she welcomed sisters, Betty Booker and Shelia Booker, brothers, Leroy Booker and Micah Hosea Booker, Richard Booker.

She was educated in the Holden MO School District and she graduated from High in 1964. Charlene was brought up in the Methodist faith where she accepted Christ at an early age. After high school, she moved to Kansas City, MO, and enrolled in The Arline Jefferson Cosmetology School; where she later graduated with honors and became a licensed beautician.  After graduating she opened her own beauty salon and remained in business until her health started to decline. She became a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church and was a regular member and attended services regularly. She was involved with several committees throughout her membership at St. Andrews.  She was the stewardess of the Kitchen Committee, she sung in the choir, and she was helped on varies projected when needed.

In 1966, she married Nathaniel Maurice Cason and to this union came a set of twin boys, Eric and Derrick Scott, whom she loved as her own.  In 1985, they became the parents of Martha and Beatrice Cason, making their family complete.  Charlene was a grandmother of 9 grandchildren and a great-grandmother of 3.

Charlene loved to travel and she enjoyed to take vacations to Las, Vegas with her C&S investment family every year until her health started to decline. Charlene was a part of a bowling league and she also played softball in her earlier years. She worked several jobs throughout her life. She worked for Langley Optical and was a school bus driver for the Kansas City Missouri School District all while still running her own beauty salon. Charlene was known as "Lady CC" and was a die-hard K.C. Chiefs fan.

Charlene was preceded in death by her mother and father, grandparents, parent, her husband, Nathaniel Maurice Cason, her son, Eric Scott, her sister, Shelia Hurt, a niece whom was named after her, Aimee Charlene Collins, three brother-in-laws, Jesse T Collins Jr., Damon Pearson and Randy Cason and her sister-in-law, Patricia Smith.

She leaves to mourn her passing: two daughters, Martha Cason-Henry, and Beatrice Cason-Juitt (Darry); two sons, Derrick Scott and Nathaniel Maurice Cason Jr. (Katrina); grandchildren, Charlene Jackson, Darrione Rodgers, Darrius Juitt, Trevon Henry, Lydia Juitt and Laila Juitt; three sisters, Gladys Collins, Joyce Pearson and Betty Booker; three brothers, Leroy Booker, Richard Booker and Micah Booker; uncle, Spencer Taylor and her special cousin and caretaker, Alva Taylor; special nieces, April Collins, Alicia Juniel, Yvette O'dell, Olivia O'dell, Jessica ( Mesh), Jasmine, Jacab Kamuru and a host of other family and friends.

Services for Mrs. Cason will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at St. Andrew United Methodist Church.  Burial Leavenworth National Cemetery.  Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until service time Wednesday at the church.
