Charles Irvin Brown was born on May 3,1930 to the union of the late Laura and Edward Brown. He is preceded in death by his wife Madlyne Brown, his stepson Joseph and his stepdaughter Dorcia.

Charles attended Philadelphia Public Schools. After high school, Charles left Philadelphia and joined the United States Army. After serving his time in the United States Army, he moved to Kansas City, Missouri to make his home. Charles worked and retired from General Motors after 35 years of service. He, later, returned to work and serviced the United States Postal Service.

He met and joined into Holy Matrimony with Madlyne Brown. He became a member of the Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church where he became very active in the church. He remained a member until his departure from this earthly life to eternal life on November 12, 2021 at VA Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

Charles leaves to cherish his memories his Step-children: Peggy, Patricia, Alexandria, Dianna, Victoria, Stephanie, Victor, and William; Special Cousins: James Click, Helen Brown, Lafayette Brown, all residing in Kansas City, Missouri; His Sister Ida Allen of Pineland, South Carolina, 16 Step-Grandchildren, 37 Step-Great Grandchildren, and 12 Step-Great Great Grandchildren, and a host of other Nieces and Nephews, Cousins and a host of many friends.
