Clara was born on a beautiful day to Bertha and Norman. She quickly was 2nd "Mom" to her brothers and sisters and established her Almighty grand energy of what we would call our "Matriarch of our Worlds" as we know it now. That didn't deter her from her studies as she quickly moved up grades graduating early.  She caught the eye of her soulmate, Cleo, at age 14. They would NEVER part from then on.

After graduating from Nursing School, she married and became a mother with her 1st born, Dalphlyn. They migrated to Kansas City, Missouri and made it THEIR HOME. Soon after, Gretchen would come and the love of this union would transcend through generations. They built their family home in Sheraton Estates and filled it with love for not only them, but their grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, etc.

They were the longest black-owned business, Southern Nook BBQ in Liberty, Missouri.

Clara will be missed but her energy is FOREVER HERE with us. She steps into forever love with her husband, Cleo; her brothers, Johnny and Nathaniel; and baby sister, Pearlie.

She leaves behind her two daughters, her sisters, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of loved ones.

May her dedication to motherhood, sisterhood, and Christian everlasting love be within us forever.
