Clarence Lampkin was born in Shreveport, Louisiana March 8, 1923, to Bessie and Harrison Lampkin. He was the oldest of 10 children.  Both parents preceded in death.

He attended Sumner High School in Kansas City, KS.  After graduating high school he enlisted in the United States Navy and retired as First Class Petty Officer after serving 20 years.  He later joined the Navy Reserves.

Clarence married the love of his life, Edna Parker and out of that union Clarence R. Lampkin was born.  He worked and retired from GSA. He became a member of Fleet Reserve and served for 10 years becoming fleet President.

He was an avid bowler who enjoyed fishing and hunting.  He loved the Chiefs and Royals and watch them faithfully.

He loved his church home Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church and especially the Men's Sunday school class.

Mr. Clarence Lampkin departed this earthly life on Wednesday, September 18, 2019.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Edna Lampkin; sibling, Thomas Lampkin and Jonas Lampkin; children, Steven Parker (who also preceded in death), Essie Rhyne, Toni Parker, Clinton Parker, Clarence R. Lampkin and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, family and friends. Thank you to special friends Joe Davis, Leroy Blanton, Homer Cheers and Laverne Gunnels.

Services for Mr. Lampkin will be held 12:00 P.M. Friday, September 27, 2019, at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.  Burial 9:00 A.M. Monday, September 30, 2019, Leavenworth National Cemetery.  Friends may call for 10:00 A.M. until Service time Friday at the church.
