On September 13, 1941 Clarence Leon Moten was born to the proud mother of Emma Shaw, in Kansas City, MO. He married the love of his life, his high school sweetheart, Anita Marie Moten. They were married for 59 years, until his sudden death.

Clarence attended Manuel High School and graduated in 1960. He was involved in football, basketball, and swimming. Later Clarence owned two businesses, "Moten Shoe Repair." He was an avid bowler, he was also a jack of trades and a master carpenter.

He leaves to cherish his memories 3 daughters, Marcia Lynn Woods (Van Woods), Maria Antoinette Forge ( Ray Forge), and Nicole LaVonne Bruce (Anthony Bruce) all of Kansas City MO. 5 grandchildren Ira Eugene Crockett ( LaTasha Crockett), Antoinette Jenay Moten, MacKenzie Jaron Bruce (Sallie Armstrong), Mikayla Forge, and Myah Forge, and 4 great grandchildren, Devin Johnson, Ariah Marie Crockett, Jayla Denise Crockett, and Jakobi Lee Bruce and 1 brother Orrin Eldon Shaw and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.

Services for Mr. Moten will be held 12:00 P.M. Thursday, September 10, 2020, at E. S .Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel.  Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until service time Thursday at the chapel.
