Clarence Augustus Stivers Jr. Known as "Q" was born to Clarence Edward Stivers and Augustine Davis Stivers August 23, 1947, in Kansas City, MO where he was raised. He attended De La Salle Military High School and received his diploma in 1965. He pursued singing with several groups as lead singer. Clarence "Q" then traveled to Los Angeles, CA in 1974, where he then pursued his life of many trades such as, bartending, security guard at airport Hilton, cosmetology, remodeling and construction. Clarence joined the Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research Inc. in 1978. He then relocated to Destrehan, Louisiana and pursued his CDL truck driver and fireman of safety career.  Clarence then move back to Kansas City, MO in June 1999, where he continued to be a truck driver for FedEx ground and retired in 2001.  Q enjoyed his retirement in Houston, TX doing many things that he was passionate about, his hobbies included, painting wall murals, "manicuring lawns" as he would say, fishing with friends on the Getty, (sounding like Smokey Robinson) singing with his music group and spending time with his family.  He loved having company at his home and showing hospitality. He also loved praising Yahweh Elohim. Quincy was preceded in death by his father and mother, Clarence and Augustine Stivers and his nephew Isreal Gonzales Stivers.

He leaves behind two brothers, Zachary Edward Stivers and Cecil Stivers; 6 children, Mark Vargas-51 Hawaii, ValVilla L De La Cruz 50 Topeka,  KS, (Jose);  son Michael Rue-47 Opelousas, LA (Bridget); daughters, Tisa Michelle Stivers-47 Houston, TX. (Desmond Daniels), Odyssey Rae'Lynn Stivers-36 Virginia, (Stephen Barnes); son, Lucas Earl Stivers-age 32 New Orleans, LA; Bonus son, Eric and Sharlynn Oakerson; 15 grandchildren, Tierra M. Longstaff, Alec J. Freeman, Tagan M. Freeman, Darion Rue, McKenzie Roberts, Rahe Roberts, Lance Dixon-age 24, Tre'Von A. LaBlanc- age 17, Skylar J. LaBlanc-age 14, Camren Lyric Stivers-age 12, Marli-Sani R. Stivers-age 10, Kinya A.Johnson- age 9, Kayden B.Johnson-age 7, Ny'lea H. Barnes; 1 great-grandchild, Naomi Roberts and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services for Mr. Stivers will be held 12:00 P.M. Saturday, April 13, 2019, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel.  Burial XII Gates Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call from 11:00 A.M., until service time Saturday at the chapel.
