Clifford Owen Winn's Obituary
Clifford Owen Winn was born to Ms. Lavonne (Bigby Winn) Moore and Mr. Floyd O. Winn, on December 10, 1959, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Vernard Bigby; Voncille (Richardson) Bigby; Floyd D. Winn; Ella Synora (Morgan) Winn; his father, Floyd O. Winn; four uncles, Myron Bigby; Duane Bigby; Oliver Kenneth Winn; Maurice Hughes; two aunts, Velma Jackson; Nora Terrill; and his brother, Glenn Winn, Sr.
Clifford was the fourth child of seven children born of the union of Lavonne (Bigby Winn) Moore and Floyd Winn. Glenn Winn, Sr. (deceased), Charlotte V. Washington (Charles), Dr. Lora M. Rochelle (Marcus), Jeffery A. Winn (Clarence), Aaron R. Winn, and Sharon K. Winn (Steven). His father, Floyd Winn, remarried and of that union, he was blessed with three additional sisters, Natalie Neal (Larry), Teresa Manley, and Kristal Manley.
Clifford was married to and divorced from Brenda Knight. Of that union Clifford often said he was blessed because he gained a son, Lonnelle Marti, who he loved dearly. In 2010, Clifford met his life partner, LaChelle Warner, who he affectionately called Shella Bella until his death. Clifford loved his family and he never met a stranger.
He confessed Christ and was baptized at an early age. He was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri Public Schools and he graduated from Southeast High School. Clifford also attended Manual Tech Center where he earned his certificate in welding. He worked as a welder in the family business of Winn and Sons Welding Company until his father's death. Afterwards, Clifford worked for over fifteen years for the City of Kansas City, Missouri, as a welder in the capacity of supervisor until his illness.
Clifford transitioned to life eternal on Thursday, September 20, 2018.
He leaves to mourn his homegoing: his loving mother; his son, Lonnelle Marti (Veronica); grandson, Brenden; two uncles, Samuel Bigby and William Terrill; five aunts, Donna Swanegan, Leona Blackwell, Joanna Hughes, Alberta Ramey, and Elaine Bigby; siblings; eighteen nieces and nephews; sixteen great-nieces and great-nephews; two great-great-nephews and nieces; his special friend and life partner, LaChelle Warner; and a host of other family members and friends.
Services for Mr. Winn will be held 11:00 A. M. Friday, September 28, 2018, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel. With Pastor John Modest Miles officiating. Private Disposition. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the chapel.
