Clyde C. Betts was born September 13, 1946, in Charleston, Missouri to Jim and Mattie Johnson Betts.

He was the youngest of 13 children; 6 girls and 7 boys. His parents, 3 sisters; 4 brothers preceded him in death.

Clyde attended school at Bluebird High School in Charleston, MO. He moved to Kansas City, MO in 1963, where he landed a job at Shasta Beverage Company as a forklift operator. He became self-employed after his health begin failing.

He was a loving father, grandpa and friend. Clyde loved to cook and to sell his oxtails and barbecue sauce. He also loved to fish, watch a good movie and a good laugh. He would help you if he could, and he would give you good advice.

On Wednesday, September 17, 2018, Clyde was called home in Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 72.

He leaves: his two daughters, Ordella Williams and Candy Wells; stepdaughter, Yolanda Crockett all of Kansas City Missouri; two brothers, Jimmy Betts of Charleston, MO and Johnny Betts of Kanas City, MO; three sisters, Carrie Milo, Mamie McElroy both of Kansas City, MO and Minnie Betts of St. Louis, MO and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and lots of cousins relatives and friends.

Services for Mr. Betts will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 26, 2018, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel with Dr. James E. Sims officiating. Private Disposition. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until service time Friday at the chapel.
