Crystal Hill , a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, partner, and friend, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family. Born on March 22, 1969, Crystal was known for her spirit of resilience and determination. Crystal is preceded in death by her father, William Hill Jr., and brother, Floyd Barnes.

A proud graduate of Ruskin High School, Crystal pursued her passion for nursing at Penn Valley and later UMKC, where she earned her Nursing Degree. Her dedication to helping others led her to a career as an ICU nurse, where she devoted her life to caring for critically ill patients and their families.

Crystal was a devoted mother and grandmother, with whom she shared cherished traditions like visiting Christmas in the Park and the Renaissance Festival each year. She loved attending festivals and traveling with her family. Her love for her grandchildren was an unbreakable bond; as she attended their sporting events and supporting them brought her immense pride and joy.

Crystal also shared a deeply, loving bond with her partner and special friend of 15 years, William Mitchell with whom she created countless memories.

Though she retired early due to health challenges, Crystal's legacy of love, perseverance, and devotion lives on in those she loved. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered for the hope and warmth she brought to any room she entered.

Crystal Hill leaves to cherish her legacy of resilience and courage: her mother, Miller Hill of Grandview, MO; two daughters, Alexis Abernathy (Joseph) of Independence, MO and Whitney Neal (Quentin) of Kansas City, MO. She cherishes her grandchildren, Whitney Robinson, Quentin Neal Jr., Maceo Seddens, Madison Neal, Caleb Hill, and Gabriel Neal (who she had the opportunity to name). She is survived by her brother, Verdis Green (Stacie); and sister, Carla Smith (Daryl). She leaves behind a host of beloved family and friends who will forever hold her memory.
