Curtis Williams, Sr. was born September 10, 1934, to the union of Earnest and Dollie Williams in Stephens, Arkansas.  He was preceded in death by both parents; one son, Curtis Williams, Jr. his ex-wife, Jacqueline Williams; one sister, Odessa Williams Blair; six brothers, Joe Henry Williams, Earnest Williams, Jr., Willie Williams, James Williams, Wilson Williams and Gaston Williams; two granddaughters, Christinia Williams and Dannetta Williams and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins.

Curtis graduated from Carver High School in Stephens, Arkansas in 1955.  He moved from Stephens, AR to Kansas City, MO at the age of 21.  There he met Jacqueline Hubbard and married her on June 21, 1956.  Four children were born to this union, Curtis Jr., Paul, Silvester and Marilyn.  The marriage was later dissolved but a great friendship was kept because of the children and family.

Curtis joined Good Hope Baptist Church in Stephens, AR when he was younger and he would always talk about how much he loved the homecoming that they held every third Sunday in August.

He worked several jobs after moving to Kansas City. His uncle Ernest invited him to work with him for Rainey's Furniture which was short spent because he was given a great opportunity to park cars for the National Garage.  Curtis loved his job because he loved helping customers and he was successful and professional at what he did; soon becoming the general manager for the company and retired from there with 50 plus years!

If you knew Curtis, you knew that he could not sit still.  After retirement, he went back to work part time as a manager for Wyandotte Garage.  In between times, Curtis really enjoyed going to help his favorite nephew, Horace Alexander park cars and manage the finances of his business.  Curtis really found a ton of joy getting up every morning and making his way downtown to work and putting a smile on the people faces that crossed his path with jokes and kind words!  His final work place was at All City Parking on 9 ^th & Grand Ave. in Kansas City, MO.

Curtis and his sister, Norma Buford traveled every year until his health failed to their High School Reunion in Stephens, Arkansas.  He truly loved his sister.

Curtis passed away peacefully Saturday, April 20, 2019, at his sons' home in Clarkston, GA.

He leaves to cherish his memory: two sons, Paul Williams (Pat) of Clarkston, GA and Silvester Williams; daughter, Marilyn Williams; sister, Norma Buford; brother, George Williams, Sr. all of KCMO; grandchildren, Jamore Goulden (Stacy), Paul Williams, Jr., Melissa Garza (Inez), Aaron Williams (Charnez), Ryan Williams (Avia), Vincente Williams, Jacoby Williams, Jeremiah Williams and Zha'Anna Williams; great-grandchildren, Armon Jamore, Jr., Justine and Trinity, Ty'Jon, Ty'Rique, Ty'Lee, Ryin, Kalyna, Aaliyah, Avery Violet Williams and Jace and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Memorial services for Mr. Williams will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church 3801 E. 56 ^th St. KCMO.
