Daisy Norine Stephenson was born in Kansas City, MO October 26, 1950, to the late Carlton Ridley, Sr. and Julia Ellen Ridley.  She was also preceded in death by her youngest brother, Rufus Ridley 9Barbra), a niece, Angela Ridley, great-niece, Jacelyn Dodd and a great-nephew, Carlton Ridley, IV.

On August 20, 1970, Daisy married Ronald Stephenson and their union produced greatest joys, a son, Mica Stephenson and three daughters, the late Carla Stephenson-Williams (Cleotha), Phyllis Stephenson and Renee Stephenson.

Daisy was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Kanas City, MO, she was baptized in May 1958.  During her youth years at Friendship she was in the Youth choir, usher board, Baptist Training Union and the mission.  Daisy attended Central High School, graduating with the class of 1968.  She attended Tarkio College in Tarkio, MO where she met Ronald. After she and Ronald united in marriage she move to Bronx, NY. She continued to follow Christ and joined the Canaan Baptist Church in Manhattan, NY. Where she held administrative duties as a church secretary.  She returned to Kansas City in 1979, without hesitation, she reunited with Friendship Baptist Church, joining her family in the Issachar Sheepfold.  She attend Sunday school class #5, Deborah Dorcus Circle Mission and the Senior Adults faithfully.

Daisy was one of the office administrators in her parent's family business, Southside janitorial & Ridley's Restaurant of Fine Foods.  She was also a Supervisor for The Internal Revenue Service for nine years.  Daisy moved to Fort Worth, TX in April 2021.  She continued her Sunday school with conference calls and her membership with Friendship Baptist Church with live stream.  Daisy had a hidden talent of playing the piano and loved cooking, sewing, knitting and helping others.  She loved her family but most of all she loved God.

She will be truly missed by her older brother, Carlton Ridley, Jr. (Kathryn); sisters Beatrice Dodd (Furman Jr.); five granddaughters, Vanessa Stephenson, Nyla Arps, Juliya Williams, Trinity Williams and Essynce Embry; three grandsons, Micah C. Stephenson, Eric Scott-Stephenson and Ali Williams; two great-grandchildren, Ivan and Journey Stephenson along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Stephenson were held Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Friendship Baptist Church.  Private disposition.
