Darlene Kay Stanford Jackson was born on September 17, 1960 to Robert L. Stanford, Sr. and Martha Jimmerson in Omaha, NE.

The family moved to Kansas City in 1961.  She attended school in the Kansas City, MO.  She received her GED from Pioneer Community College.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and 2 brothers, Charles Washington and Michael Stanford.

Darlene married James Jackson on October 14, 2013.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, James Jackson, of the home; brothers, Theodore Washington and Robert Stanford, Jr. both of Kansas City, MO, and DeWayne Stanford (Pasefika) of Lawrence, KS; sisters, Patricia Magruder, Gail Haynes, Regina Stanford, Renee Shutt, Janet Harris, all of Kansas City, MO; Shirley Anderson of Chesapeake, VA; and Denise White (Earnest) of Greenville, IL, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services for Mrs. Jackson will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 18, 2022 at Downtown Church of Christ. Burial Brooking Cemetery.  Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
