Darryl Adrian Waller was born October 24, 1962, in Kansas City, Missouri.  He was the first of five children born to Charles and Violet Waller.

He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. Louis Catholic Church, where he served as an altar boy. Later in years, he joined Concord Fortress of Hope Church and recently United Missionary Baptist Church.

He attended St. Louis Catholic School (later became St. Martin de Porres Elementary School), Bishop Hogan High School, and graduated from Raytown South High School in 1980.  He was a Biology Major and Minored in Chemistry at Baker University in Baldwin City, KS.  This is where he met his college sweetheart, Karen Robinson, whom he married after college.  They were blessed with two children, Darian and Darryl Adrian Waller Jr.

Darryl's professional career in the Environmental Health and Safety industry, Industrial Waste Pretreatment, spanned more than 25 years in various capacities, from technician to management at Little Blue Valley Sewer District, Jackson County Public Works, Operations Management International (OMI), contracting at Kansas City Plant (Honeywell, Inc.).

He received various classes of certifications in Wastewater, OSHA/RCRA Emergency Preparedness, Hazardous Materials, Hazardous Waste, Fire Safety Underground Storage Tanks.

He was very artistic and loved to draw and paint. As a youngster, he entered a national drawing contest and while he did not win, he was acknowledged and received a personal visit to the home and encouraged to take professional lessons. His student artwork was displayed at The Nelson Art Gallery.

Darryl loved exotic animals, was very friendly, he had a great sense of humor, was well-spoken and very protective of his family. He was known as the "Kid Magnet".  It seemed all kids gravitated towards him.

As he graciously transitioned this life on Thursday, September 12, 2019, we cherish the time God shared him with us.

He is preceded in death by his former wife, Karen Robinson Waller, paternal grandparents, Obie and Liller Waller, maternal grandparents, Warren (Barbara) Anderson and Thelma Black Thomas.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his Parents, Charles and Violet Waller of KCMO; sisters, Cheryl Jones of Tulsa, OK, Nicki (John) Brice of Grandview, MO, Marcia Waller of KCMO; brothers, Jeffrey Waller, Maury Waller both of KCMO; children, Darian (Hermine) Waller of Raytown, MO; Darryl Adrian I of KCMO; his beloved only grandchild, Aziyah Waller of Raytown MO; aunts, Gladys Johnson of Pontiac, MI, Patricia (Willie, dec.) Craven of Tulsa, OK, Ruby (Richard, dec.) Barnes of Brenda (Ralph) Wilson, Donna (Michael) Jasper all of Tulsa, Ok, Melvina Lewis Marshall of KCMO; uncles, Robert (Clarrece, dec.) Waller, Anthony Waller, Gerald Waller all of Tulsa, OK; best friend, Tammy Thomas and a host of  nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, relatives and friends, classmates.

Memorial services for Mr. Waller will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 20, 2019, at Concord Fortress of Hope.  Private Disposition.
