David Lynn Irvin was born April 17, 1965, the 4th youngest child of 11 born to James & JoElla Irvin, Sr. Both parents; maternal grandparents (Marcia & Robert Smith); paternal grandparents (Annie Owens); daughter, Jasmine Davis; and granddaughter, Alliyah all preceded him in death.

Dave attended Southeast High School in Kansas City, MO.  He later received his GED and graduated top in his class with his certificate for 'Medical Billing and Coding' from Concord Technical School in Kansas City, MO.

He worked numerous jobs as a manager, cook, and skilled laborer. His passion came from his lawn service business, where he loved meeting new people. Dave was currently living in Joplin, MO when he passed.

He accepted Christ at an early age and became a God-fearing man.  Growing up in a large family taught Dave the importance of family togetherness.  He loved spending time with family and friends. He was always full of jokes and kept everyone laughing. He loved his Kansas City Chiefs and playing dominos and chess at any gathering, (trash talk included).  He had such an infectious SMILE, that would light up any room.

Dave leaves to mourn his passing his children,  David Davis, Travis Davis, DeAndre Davis, Brittany Davis, DVontaye Davis, Javon Davis, Davaughn Irvin; grandchildren, JaeVontae, David, Jr., Chase, Markell, Jason, Alaina, Jasmine, and Ziare.

Dave's siblings:  Tanya Hayes (Rahn), Renita Dudley (Ernest), James Irvin Jr. (Priscilla), Tony Irvin, Kevin Irvin, Jamie Dudley (Andre), Ron Irvin (Tracy), Kim Irvin, Dwayne Irvin (Patricia), Keith Irvin (Stephanie), Denise Sanders, Tara Johnson.  He is also survived by a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great-nephews, an uncle, aunts, cousins, his extended Joplin, MO family, and his childhood neighborhood friends from 55th Street and many other friends and associates.
