Deborah Kay Washington was born April 2, 1959, to Bertha and Elmo Manning in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Deborah was the next to youngest of seven children one boy and six girls.  Deborah was preceded in death by her mother Bertha Lee Manning, father Elmo Manning, brother Elmo Manning Jr., sister Joyce Manning and husband Ivory Lee Washington Jr.  As well as 3 nephews and one niece.

Deborah moved to Kansas City, Missouri as a child and attended Marlboro High school.  She then went on to pursue her cosmetology license from House of Heavlin School of Cosmetology.  She later became a security guard to serve and protect.

Deborah loved to dance and sing.  Those were some of her greatest moments.  She will be truly missed by all.  Deborah was a very loving person with a heart of gold.  She believed in Christ and stood firm on His promises as she was a saved and devoted Christian.  She was baptized at Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church by Pastor Earnest Greenlee.

Deborah passed away June 12th at KU Medical Center in Kansas City Kansas.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory three daughters Connie Washington, Michelle Washington and Robin Morris (Dominique); six sons, Ivory Washington, Marcus Washington, Phillip Washington, Antonio Washington, Michael Manning and Marlon Manning.  Siblings Loretta Neal (George), Gertie Wedlow (Joseph), Patricia Manning (Ernie) and Mary Manning; a loving sister-in-law, Connie Jackman (Marlon); two very close nieces, Tameisha Ferrell and Ola Scott amongst a host of additional family and friends.

Funeral Services for Deborah Washington will be held 11:00 A.M Saturday, June 29, 2019, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel.  Private disposition.  Friends may call Saturday June 29, 2019, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at chapel.
