Delores Frye was born on September 16,1943 to her Mother Lula Mae Battles (MaDear) of Mobile Alabama. She departed this life at Armour Oaks Senior Living Community on May 19, 2022.

Delores had four children two boys and two girls. She was a loving Mother to all her children. Delores was a devout and active member of the Linwood SDA Temple Church for many years. She was the leader for the Happy Time Tent at the Camp Shady Hill. She was also a Vacation Bible School Leader. She was also a Sabbath School Superintendent and a Sabbath School teacher for the children. She did arts and crafts at Friendship Camp and at Linwood.

She loved the Lord and reading her Bible, and listening to the Bible on CD's, listening to Gospel Music, she was a praying woman of God. She would always tell her children that she was praying for them and that she loved them. She would drive children that attended Linwood to Cedarvale Junior Academy.  At Christmas time every year she would pass out Christmas gifts to each person at church, she wanted to make sure that everyone had a gift.  She loved going on vacations, family reunions, decorating her home, recording Bible movies and Gospel shows and television programs.

Delores attended Oakwood College, she also attended Penn Valley Community College and received her Associates Degree in Medical Records Technician.  She worked at KU Medical Center located in Kansas City, KS for 20 years as a Medical Records Technician.

Delores was preceded in death by her Mother Lula Mae Battles (MaDear), her Aunt Ann Parker, her Uncle Sidney Parker, her brother Jimmy M. Kennedy, and her cousin Melvin Kennedy.

Left to honor her memory are Cora Jean Walker (Sister), Rafael Frye (Son), Reginald Frye (Son), Rameka Frye (Daughter), Roshanna Barnes (Daughter), John Barnes (Son in Law), Naya Barnes (Granddaughter), Trey Barnes (Grandson), Jeffrey Walker (Nephew), Christina Caquias and family (Cousins), Stephanie Kennedy and family (Cousins), Bryan Kennedy and family (Cousins), Melvin Singleton and family (Cousins), and a host of family members and friends, and loved ones.
