Mother Delores Louise Smith Bell affectionately known as "Nana" 91, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at her home in Blue, Springs MO.  She was born January 13, 1928, in Kansas City, KS to Eldon and Sally Smith.  Her parents along with her brother, Donald Smith preceded her in death.  Delores grew u and was educated in Kansas City, KS.  She continued her education by completing her teaching Degree at Avila University.  She taught for the Kansas City Missouri Public School System until her retirement.  For many years, she was an amazing Elder and Pastor's wife. She was devoted to her husband, family and the church.  She loved her role as the state hospitality Chair Lady or most of her adult life.  Additionally, Mother Bell loved attending the church of God in Christ Annual Women's Conventions.  Her daughter, Rosalind accompanied her to the last 6 Conventions.  All three daughters lovingly shared the care of their mother.  Janice would stop by regularly to visit and bring treats.  God called her home on April 15, 2020.  Alphonso Jr. came to visit and was happy to feed her crushed ice.  Rosalind and Melanie continued the daily care for their mother as she began to grow ill.

She leaves to mourn her homegoing: her son, Alphonso Bell, Jr.; daughters, Rosalind Jordan and Melanie Cochran; six grandchildren, Robert Harris. Solomon (Tiffany) Slaughter, Trevor Cochran, Raisa Ikonta, Ariane Rashid and Clarence Cochran great-grandchildren, Mariah, Amaya and Uzziah Slaughter, Taevion Harris, Jacob Johnson, Liam Shelley, Amir and Parker Rashid; niece, Sherilyn Simmons, RN; Hospice RN Elder Donald and Evangelist Vickie Chiney-Smih along with Elder along with Elder Lance and Laverne Carter and the extraordinary church members.

Service for Mother Bell will be held 12:00 P.M. Friday, January 8, 2021, at Barker Memorial Cathedral of Praise C.O.G.I.C.  Burial Forest Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Friday at the church.
