Dennis Rodney Barnes was born July 8, 1955, to J D Barnes and Clara Barnes Stuckey in Kansas City, Missouri.  He was preceded in death by his father, J D Barnes and three brothers, Robert Barnes, Lorenzo Barnes, and Kevin Barnes.

Dennis thoroughly enjoyed going fishing, watching fishing, and playing fishing games.  He also looked forward to watching movies and keeping up with football.  He had a vibrant sense of humor that shone bright during family games of spades and his frequent phone conversations with family.

He passed away in his home and was discovered by family on December 30, 2017.

He is survived by: his mother, Clara Barnes; two brothers, William Stuckey and Michael Barnes; one sister, Rita Sewell; two sons; Damon Hollowell and Antonio Wynn and host of grandchildren, great- grandchildren, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.

Memorial Services for Mr. Barnes will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 5, 2018, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel.  Private Disposition.
