Derrick Dwayne Wade was born April 12, 1987, to Eric Rishon Wade and Marie Ann Wade of Kansas City, Missouri.  He departed this life on Monday, April 20, 2020.  His father and brothers, Eric Harrell and Michael Wade preceded him in death along with his maternal grandparents.

Derrick graduated from Martin Luther King Jr. High School in Atlanta, Georgia.  He worked in the field he enjoyed for 10 years as a respected Tech Support/Repair Technician.  He was an avid online gamer and a huge fan of Japanese Anime.  His warm personality and inviting humor allowed him to easily become family to all.

He leaves to cherish his memory: Marie Ann Gonzales, mother; George Boyd, his bonus father; Mary Hayes, grandmother; Teri Wade, best friend and mother of daughter, Adrianne Danielle Wade and son, Liam Alexzander Wade; Britney Key, special friend and mother of daughter, Reign Athena Wade; brother, Dwayne Boyd; sisters, Lacy Boyd, Kizzie Jones and LaTosha Nesbit (Kenan); cousins, Jennifer and MyAun Boyd; nieces, Jasmine Boyd, Brandy Johnson and Heaven Jones; nephews, Shaun and Dezmond Kimbrough and Markiz Jones along with a host of aunts and uncles, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and very special longtime friends.

Services for Mr. Wade will be held 12:00 P.M. Saturday, May 2, 2020, at E. S. Eley & Son Chapel.  Burial XII Gates Memorial Gardens.  Visitation 11:00 until service time Saturday at the chapel.
