Dorris Ross was born August 26, 1952, in Monroe, Arkansas to the union of Allen Ross, Sr. and Gracie Ward Ross.  She departed this life on Thursday, March 1, 2018.  Dorris was preceded in death by both parents and her husband, Kenneth L. Banks.

She attended Manual high School completing the eleventh grade.  She started her work career in nursing as a Home care Health Aide, later transferring over to housekeeping.  Dorris retired from Hidden Lake Care Center.

Dorris married Kenneth L. Banks April 9, 2005.  She loved the holidays; cooking for the family brought joy to her.  She cared for others in their time of need.  Dorris knew the Lord for herself.  She believed in her faith and called on the Lord in her time of need.

She is survived by: her brothers, Allen Ross, Jr., Huey Lee Ross, Harold Ross (Leeatta), Calvin (Tracy), Ricky Ross (Carrie) and William Ross (Chanell); sisters, Cleola Ross, Angela Ross (Joe), Mischoni Ross and Schrea Ross and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Dorris had a second family, The Williams family from Chicago and a brother from another mother, Mr. Maurice A. Watson as she would say.

Services for Ms. Ross will be held 12:00 P.M. Saturday, March 17, 2018, at. E. S. Eley & Sons Chapel with Pastor Edward Moore officiating.  Private Disposition.  Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the chapel.
