Doshia Ann Burnside-Carrell was born October 4, 1943, in Plattsburg, MO to Opal and Roeland Burnside.  She was united in marriage to the late Paul Carrell, Sr. She was also preceded her in death by both parents, six brothers, Frank, Tom, William, Walter, Larry and Gary; a sister, Catherine and a grandson, Victor Garrett.

Doshia graduated from Platte City high School.  She went on to pursue a career in nursing and received her nursing aide degree.  She worked at Campbell Midtown and Paseo Nursing Home.  After leaving the nursing field, she went on to work at Jimmy's Steakhouse and the Green Duck, doing what she loved, "cooking".  She was known as "Ms. Ann."

Doshia departed this earthly life on Saturday, October 30, 2021, in Kansas City, MO.  She was a loving parent and grandparent that will be truly missed.

She leaves to cherish her fond memory: two daughters, Victoria Garrett (Wayne); Roxane Burnside, four sons, Stacey Burnside, Tracey Burnside, Paul Burnside and Paul Carrell; one sister, Wanda; brother, John; 22 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends along with special friend, Marlon Brown.

Services for Mrs. Carrell were held Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at E. S. Eley and Sons Funeral Chapel, Inc.
