On December 23, 1955, a baby girl was born to the union of Katherine and Arthur W. Richardson Sr. She was named Earline (after her mother's sister) Denise Richardson (affectionately known as DeeDee ). DeeDee's mother, father, and older siblings Mabel, Chalmers, John, Barbara, and Arthur Jr, and her only child Laron Richardson all preceded her in death.

DeeDee received her education in the Kansas City public School District, and later as an adult she would spend many years working as a custodian for the Kansas City Federal building. DeeDee retired from her position in 2020.

DeeDee was a beloved longtime member of the "Consuming Fire Ministries Church" in Kansas City, MO. Under the leadership of Pastor Winston and Lady Esther Lott she developed a personal relationship with Christ.

DeeDee enjoyed listening to her favorite songs (oldies but goodies) and her favorite TV shows (The Brady Bunch, Leave it Beaver, and more recently "Family Reunion". She also loved to sing and dance, but what was most important to DeeDee was her family.  DeeDee relocated to Ontario, California to have a late in life opportunity to live with family. She was able to check off a bucket list that included flying on an airplane for the first time, going to the beach to just sit and watch the ocean, and to spend time with her first cousin Shirley (Samuel) Barlow, great and great-great niece and nephews.

DeeDee leaves to cherish her memory, her last living sibling Stevie Rayfus Richardson of MPLS, MN; her sister-in-law Samella Davis of MPLS, MN; nieces and nephew who were raised with her; Kathy (Curtis) Lewis of Dallas, TX; Delreese (James) Mays of Kansas City; Tina Harrison of Ontario, CA; and Bruce Davis of MPLS, MN. She also leaves her close nieces Camille Johnson of Kansas City, Tracy Morris of Kansas City, and Elaina Davis of MPLS, MN; along with numerous cousins and many more nieces, nephews, great and great-great, and a host of friends and relatives all who will miss her dearly. Most of all, we will miss her daily calls that she made just to say; "So what cha' doing?

Services for Mrs. Richardson will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 2, 2023, at Consuming Fire Ministries. Burial at Brooking Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the church.
