Eddie Charles Taylor , was born on Friday, May 26, 1950 and transitioned to his Heavenly Rest on Friday, March 22, 2024. He resided in Kansas City, Missouri, where he attended W. W. Yates School and Central High School, laying the foundation for a life filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories.

Eddie "Wolf" , as many family and friends called him, was a devoted fan of the Oakland Raiders despite being a Kansas City native. His passion for the team was evident in every game day ritual and spirited discussion. His unwavering loyalty to the silver and black was a testament to his dedication and love for the sport.

Eddie also enjoyed past times such as playing dominoes and biz wiz with his cousins or hanging out all day, night, or weekends around the corner at Tim and Mae's.  He also would watch old westerns, WWE, and boxing.

Throughout his life, Eddie pursued his passion for cooking, sharing his culinary talents with family, friends, and patrons alike. Whether he was whipping up his famous barbecue ribs, making his infamous peanut butter cookies, making stovetop popcorn, and shrimp, or crafting other comfort food classics that he desired to make HIS way. Eddie was the Grill Master. Eddie's meals were always enjoyed and served with a generous side of love and hospitality.

Eddie looked forward to our bi-annual Allen-Malone Family Reunions, mostly hosted in Arcadia, Louisiana, and faithfully attended until his health did not permit.

Eddie was preceded in death by father, Willie Taylor; beloved mother, Clotiel Taylor; brother, Gary Taylor; grandmother, Sallie Allen Taylor; and whose presence he now joins in eternal peace.

Eddie C. Taylor will be missed deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched and the memories he created. He is survived by his daughter, La'Condria Burley; grandchildren, Tristan Rochester, Skylar Rochester, and A'Son Morris of whom he loved dearly.  His sisters, Gloria Harper, Dorothy Perry (Edward J. Perry, Jr.), Beverly Taylor, Cynthia Love, and Tanya Taylor who loved their brother more than words can describe. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and extended family members and lifelong friends of the family who will fondly remember Eddie's jokes, infectious laughter, kindhearted nature, and unwavering support.

As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate the beautiful life he lived and the love he shared with each of us.  There is yet joy on the other side, as Eddie confessed his belief in Christ and shared his personal testimony of how God covered him through various moments in his life.
