Ella Laverne Fayne , 65, was born on January 5, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Dr. Fred Fayne and Betty Fayne.

She graduated from Lillis High School in 1976.  After high school, Ella attended college, before she decided to explore career opportunities at the United States Postal Service. She worked at the United States Postal Service for over 40 years as a Postal Clerk.  She enjoyed her career at the Post Office and loved helping her co-workers. She frequently organized celebrations for co-workers' retirements, birthdays, and other significant events.

Ella's greatest joy was being a mother to her son, Julian.  Julian recalls watching his mom (Ella) play Scrabble with his maternal grandmother (Betty Fayne).  He also remembers the smell of hazelnut creamer in her cup of freshly brewed coffee.

She also loved scrapbooking.  Ella had a unique way of documenting what was important to other people.  She was a keeper and recorder of so many beautiful memories.

She loved listening to music.  Earth, Wind, and Fire and Janet Jackson were her favorites. She enjoyed going to concerts.  This year she attended Beyonce and Janet Jackson concerts.

She relaxed by going to estate sales and watching her favorite television shows.

Ella passed away on November 10, 2023.

Both parents; two siblings, Desiree and James all preceded her in death.

Ella will be greatly missed by her son, Julian; two brothers, Charles Fayne and Fred (Tracy) Fayne; aunt, Ella Mae; nieces, nephews, cousins, and her United States Postal Service family.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at 12:00PM on November 20, 2023 at E.S. Eley and Sons Funeral Chapel, Inc., 4707 Truman Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64127.
