Our beloved Ezekiel (Zeke) White Junior was born on Thursday, August 6, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Dorothy and Ezekiel White, Senior.  The name Ezekiel can be translated from ancient Hebrew to modern English meaning, "God will strengthen." Zeke certainly demonstrated this strength throughout his life right up until his passing on Monday, May 9, 2022 at the age of 79.

As a young man, Zeke developed a fascination and love for music. He was an accomplished guitarist who lent his talents as a former band member of "The Mighty Clouds of Joy." More recently, Zeke used his musical gifts to edify God as a member of the Pentacostal Church of Christ under the tutelage of Pastor James Lewis where he was active in the music department playing both the guitar and drums.

Zeke's passing leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends who were always entertained by his stories and hilarious sense of humor. We take comfort in knowing that, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and he rescues those whose spirits are crushed." ~Psamls 34:18 New Living Translation of the Holy Bible.

Zeke is predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Ezekiel White, Senior; sisters Verna Mae White and Edwina White as well as his brother; Curtis E. White. He leaves to cherish his memory two brothers: James White (Diane White) and Damon White (Ruby White) both of Kansas City, Missouri and one sister Debbie White of Phoenix, Arizona.

Zeke was married to Joann White who also preceded him in death. Together they shared three children Carletta M. Riley of Kansas CIty, Missouri; Paul E. White of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and Marietta L. White of Des Moines, Iowa.

He leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grand children, great children, as well as close friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Services for Mr. White were held at 1:00PM, Saturday, May 14, 2022, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel. Private Disposition.  Friends may call from 11:00AM until service time at the chapel.
