Fredic P. Charles' Obituary
Born, raised and educated in Prescott, Arkansas, the son of Savannah and Henry Charles, Fredic accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age at Sweet Home Baptist Church, Prescott, Arkansas.
Fredic later relocated to Kansas City, Missouri and united in marriage with Lou Della Leggs in the summer of July 1962. Both Fredic and LouDella joined St. Stephens Baptist Church and served with Usher Board Ministry No. 4. Fredic was employed as a Production Baker for American Taystee Bakery where he retired in 1989. He was as a proud member of the Bakery and Confectionery Union, the 3600 Garfield Block Club and the Ivanhoe Neighborhood Association.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughters, Denise (John) Dillard of KCMO, Lynette Charles of Detroit, MI and honorary daughter, Denise Hawkins of KCMO; his son, Theodore Charles; surviving siblings, James Thomas (Zelma) Charles and Ira Lee Rogers of KCMO; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Service for Mr. Charles will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 20, 2018, at St. Stephens Baptist Church. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the church.
