George Edward Armstrong , 81, was born on March 10, 1942 to the union of Cleveland Lee Armstrong and Elizabeth Elizan (Oakes) Armstrong in Hope, Arkansas. He was the oldest of six brothers.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Cleveland and Elizabeth; his oldest son, Steven Armstrong; and three brothers, Cleveland "Dykes" Armstrong, Jr., Charles "Gino" Armstrong, and Ronald "Big Cat" Armstrong.

At the age of eight, his parents moved George to Kansas City, Missouri.

George received his education in the Kansas City, Missouri School District. He graduated from Manuel High School. After high school, George attended a Technical College where he was credentialed as an Electronic Specialist.

George met his and married the girl next door, Lillian Smith. To this union, three children were born.

George was a hard worker.  He worked at Kansas City Power & Light as a means to support his family.  He worked there until his health began to fail him.

George loved cars, music, going to the casino, and The Kansas City Chiefs.  His all-time favorite group was Earth, Wind, and Fire.

George entered into eternity on June 18, 2023.

He leaves to cherish his memory: one son, Tony Armstrong; one daughter, Carol Armstrong; two brothers, James Armstrong and Gerald Armstrong; and a host of other relatives, family and friends.
