George Mark Bacon's Obituary
George Mark Bacon was born February 17, 1935, to the union of Roosevelt Bacon and Lucy Foster in Pickens, Mississippi. He was sixth child born into a family of eleven children. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Woodrow Bacon and Willie Bacon and two sisters, Alberta Gaderson and Ida Harris.
He received his early education in the Pickens, Mississippi School District. After school, he moved to Kansas City, Missouri. He was employed by Fimco as a machine operator. He worked there until his health failed.
George loved to go hunting and fishing and he loved being around his family.
George Bacon departed this life on Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.
He leaves to cherish his memory: two daughters, Tyra France and Delisa Cadenhead (Sidney); three sisters, Maryle Green, Rosie Wiley and Pearlene Williams all of Kansas City, MO; three brothers, Roosevelt Bacon, John Henry Bacon and Jerry Bacon and a host of relatives and friends.
Services for Mr. Bacon will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 7, 2018, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel. Burial Blue Ridge Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00 P.M. until service time Saturday at the Chapel.
