George A. Trice, Jr ., 93, was born On September 16, 1929 to the union of Arthur Trice and Ida Trice in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He attended and graduated from R.T. Coles High School where he excelled in football, basketball, track and baseball.

George was united in marriage to Dorthy Trice. To this union, a son, George Trice, III was born.  Later in life, he united in marriage to Reba Zelma Trice. In this union, four sons, Lynn A. Trice, Donnie K. Trice, Terence C. Trice, and Kevin L. Trice were born.

George retired from Butler Manufacturing Company. He was a very hard working father, charismatic who brought joy to those he came in contact with.  You could always catch him laughing and smiling to all those around him.  His son says he was a loving but stern father. It was a blessing to have him.

George enjoyed fishing, football and watching old westerns. Even at 93, he loved being active and took time out for friends and family.

He was a member of Ward Chapel AME Church where he was very active with the youth. He was an amazing mentor, motivator and basketball coach for the youth.

George departed this life on November 20, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospital.

He was preceded in death by Dorthy Reba Trice and son Kevin L. Trice.

He leaves behind his legacy of love and memories four sons: George Trice III, Lynn Trice (Shirley), Donnie Trice (Doris) and Terence Trice (Cynthia); six grandchildren: Jordan Trice, Tyrice Trice, Tyree Trice, Terence Trice III, Shani Hall (Trice) and Kareem Trice; and three great grandchildren: Rashad Trice, Lola Trice and Zamara Trice; a host of relatives and lifelong friends who cherished and loved him deeply.

The angels rejoiced when God received our father home.  He will be truly missed.
